Balinese food

Hello guys!

Today it will be the last part of my adventure in Bali. It will be about food, drinks and balinese specialities. As you might know, very typical for a lot of Asian are coconuts. Similar as it was on Sri Lanka, also on Bali you can buy coconuts and drink their very tasty water. They are everywhere! It is a good refreshment and they are really cheap and healthy. In the evening you can also try balinese beer called Bintang. It is a lager beer and it tastes good to their spicy food (although I am not the biggest fan of beers). Another one is Bali Hai, also really good. Overall, balinese food is very spicy and you have to be careful with spicy meals. On our first evening we went to a typical balinese restaurant to taste the food. Many various meals were served in small portions so we could taste everything. Of course, there were a few types of rice and vegetables. And as the main meal there was chicken served on a little grill for everyone. It was soooo tasty! Another day we went to a burger restaurant to try their vegan black burger. It was a vegan burger patty between black burger buns. Something I didn't know earlier and for me a weird taste. Also the fruits on Bali are very exotic and sometimes very weird. For example: the durian. It smells terrible and it also tastes terrible but the Balinese people love it. For us, it may be weird but in my opinion, it is always interesting to try something totally different and new.
And the last thing I would like to mention is the famous coffee from Bali-. Kopi Luwak Have you ever heard about it? It is a coffee that consists of digested coffee cherries, which have been eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet. And it is suprisingly good!
That was everything about my trip to Bali. I hope you enjoyed it and let's see where to go next time!
Bye :)

Waterbom

Hello!
Welcome back to my blog, today's topic is about my adventure in the Waterbom! You have to think what is that! So it is a Waterpark in Kuta, Bali. It is called as the best Waterpark in South Asia. As I saw this I wanted to get there to check how good the Waterpark really is. I bought the tickets online to skip the line and when I arrived I got really quick inside. So I got my bathsuit on and started to explore there park. It is huge. A lot of various slides and a river thorough the park where you can relax inside a swimming. What is more, there are a few restaurants with very tasty food and a good place for a break. That's why it is a perfect place even for whole families. The highlights where the free fall slides where you stand on a plate inside a pipe and when the timer counts down you fall down the pipe and get up to 70km/h a thrilling feeling but unforgettable. For the brave ones there are a lot of fast rides when they can race. But of course, there is also lazy river for those who don't like so much adrenaline. We surely had a lot of fun and a great day and definitely it was something totally different to the rest of the island.
Next time it will be very tasty in my blog because I will tell you about food and drinks on Bali.
Bye!

Heaven's Gate

Hello and welcome back everyone,
The next day on Bali was excellent! My driver took me to the famous Gate of Heaven and to one of the famous water palaces. The Gate of Heaven is at the Lempuyang Temple. It is the highest temple on Bali and from the gate you have a view on the Agung volcano and it seems that you are in the heaven and look down on Bali. Of course it's a must do in Bali and a really nice place with a superb view but for me it was a little bit weird because there were a lot of people and everyone just stands in the line and waits to take picture in the gate but nobody really cared about the temple itself. And what is more, you have to wait there 4 hours to take a picture!! Can you imagine? Fortunately, I had to wait only 20 minutes because in the other way- I wouldn't have these amazing pictures ;)
After that great but also a little bit weird experience, my driver took me to the water palace and there was a very similar situation. Beautiful place, nice balinese architecture and a stunning palace with water around and fish and a lot of plants but... Again a lot of people waiting to take the perfect instagram picture. It was a little bit sad and I regret that I didn't see these places before, when Instagram wasn't so popular.
All in all, it was great to see that and learn more about Bali. And as I said, nobody there really is interested in culture or architecture on Bali and everyone seems just there to take perfect pictures and show the world where they are.
That is all for today!

Swinging in Bali

Hey and welcome back,

As I promised last time, I will write about my next stop in Ubud. Similar like the monkey forest also very famous are the jungle swings in Bali. I am totally sure that you have seen pictures of people on the swings. And of course, those pictures are always very pretty! There where a lot of different swings so it was also a very nice action adventure and really thrilling. Sometimes I had the feeling I would fell of the swing and fly down the valley in the jungle. But be careful! There are many tourists and many instagram influencers who want to take a lot of pictures to put on their instagram- so you have to wait a little bit ;)! But all in all, it was a funny experience. If you are in Bali, you can't miss it  and I really recommend you to spend your time there.
Next time I will take you to another travel trip around Bali!
I hope you can't wait! :)

Monkey forest

Hey everyone,
today I will take you to another journey on Bali. The best way To travel around Bali is to order a private driver for a few days. 80 percent of balinese people are drivers. They take you everywhere you want and it is really comfortable. You can travel alone or in groups up to 7 people. The drivers also know a lot of histories and tips about Bali. And it is not so expensive.
That is why I ordered a driver for 2 days and my first stop was beautiful city- Ubud. And of course, lovely places around Ubud.
Ubud is a city in the middle of the balinese jungle. You can try tipical balinese street food and get a real balinese feeling. One of my stops in Ubud was the famous Ubud monkey forest. In the forest live around 1000 monkeys and about 120.000 people visits the forest every month. Can you imagine? You can take funny pictures with the monkeys but you have also be careful because some monkeys can be aggressive or they often steal something from your backpack. I had luck so the monkeys did not steal something from me but I saw when a monkey took a bottle or even a mobile pone from a tourist backpack and ran away. It was a total different experience than everything before but I had a lot of fun with the monkeys and made some nice pictures. About my next stops around Ubud I will tell you the next time.
See you!

Nusa Dua

Hey everyone,
First of all, I want to wish all of you a happy new year! :)

And today I will take you on my trip to Bali. After the long journey I finally arrived at my hotel. My hotel was located in the south of Bali in Benoa/Nusa Dua. A very typical place for tourists with a lot of hotels, restaurants and shops. Even a shopping mall was looking like a little balinese village. In Nusa Dua there is also a great view point called Waterblow where you're looking in the ocean and along the beaches of Benoa and Nusa Dua. It's also a perfect place for a dinner at the sunset on the beach. For me it was the perfect place to enjoy the weather and special balinese atmosphere at the hotel. It was also a good place to rest after the exhausting journey and a perfect starting point for various trips around the island. But about that trips I will tell you in the next Blogs so watch out and stay tuned.
